New Research in Paleoanthropology in China: Human Fossil Discoveries in the 21st century

Dr. Liu Wu is a Research Professor at the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology (IVPP), Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Editor in Chief of Acta Anthropologica Sinica. For several decades now, he has spear-headed ground-breaking field and laboratory work in paleoanthropology. Join him for a lecture discussing recent advances in Chinese paleoanthropology, with focus on the complicated evolutionary relationships and immense taxic diversity represented by East Asian Pleistocene humans.

The talk is open to all and will take place on Friday, October 20th, in 4130 Posvar Hall from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. Hosted by the Department of Anthropology and the Asian Studies Center.
